Get Ready to Smile with Invisalign®

Invisalign® treatment offers an alternative to traditional braces for those interested in aligning their teeth for a straighter smile. We offer Invisalign® for kids, teens, and adults.

Having teeth with proper alignment is not purely cosmetic. Straight teeth make it easier to care for your smile, making brushing and flossing easier and preventing wear and chipping from a misaligned bite.

Invisalign® treatments use custom-made clear aligners that are discreet and convenient. The clear aligners can be easily removed for meals or to brush your teeth.

How Does Invisalign® Work?

Invisalign® is an orthodontic treatment that aligns your teeth and bite. It can be used for a variety of orthodontic cases, including overly crowded or overly spaced teeth. Invisalign® differs from traditional braces, as it uses clear aligners to gently shift your teeth into a new alignment.

Invisalign® aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable, BPA-free plastic. They are custom-made based on your teeth and treatment plan. Every few weeks, you’ll change aligners, slowly shifting your teeth into their final alignment.

The aligners can be removed to eat or brush and floss your teeth. This means you don’t need to adjust your diet during the treatment process.

What Does Invisalign® Treat?

Invisalign® can treat a number of dental concerns, including crowding, spaced teeth, and crossbite. Before starting treatment, we use the iTero digital scanner to create a 3D digital model of your teeth and gums. Using this device, we can simulate your future smile after treatment.

Crowding or overly crowded teeth occur when there is not enough space between your teeth. This can cause plaque accumulation, tooth decay, an increased chance of gum disease, and make your teeth look crooked. Invisalign® can help correct crowding and reduce the risk of associated dental concerns.

Too much space between your teeth can often be treated using Invisalign®. If there is too much space between your teeth, you may develop periodontal pockets between your teeth and gums that can accumulate plaque and increase your risk of periodontal disease.

A crossbite means that the upper and lower jaws are not properly aligned. This can lead to abnormal wear and chipping on your teeth and periodontal problems, including gum disease and bone loss. Depending on your situation, Invisalign® can be a good treatment option for crossbite.

What Is the Invisalign® Process Like?

Before starting Invisalign® treatment, your Invisalign® provider and team will take X-rays, pictures, and digital impressions of your teeth using the iTero® digital scanner. Based on these images, we will map out a treatment plan, including the proposed movement of your teeth.

Our digital scanner allows us to show you what your teeth will look like during each stage of treatment. During this appointment, you’ll have a chance to see and assess the final result before committing to treatment.

The duration of your Invisalign® treatment will depend on your specific case and on your commitment to wearing your aligners. We recommend that you wear your aligners at least 20 to 22 hours per day throughout your entire treatment, and only removing them to eat or brush your teeth. This will help you achieve your desired results faster.

Taking a
Preventive Approach

Routine dental cleanings and exams are a vital part of preventive care for your teeth and gums. Our team at Bridgeland Dental Care is dedicated to providing our patients with personalized, comprehensive, preventative dental care.

During a dental cleaning, your dentist or dental hygienist will remove bacteria, plaque, and tartar build-up from your teeth. Your dentist or hygienist may also recommend other preventive services to help protect and strengthen your teeth from decay.

We also use digital X-rays and the iTero digital scanner to get a clear view of your teeth, gums, and overall oral health. These tools help make your dental experience more efficient, comfortable, and interactive.
