Meet Dr. Leila Akbarihamed
Dr. Leila was born and raised in Iran. Shortly after receiving her dentistry degree, she immigrated to Canada.
Arriving in Canada, she spent a few years doing research work at the University of Alberta and working as a dental assistant while she was studying to obtain her Canadian license in dentistry.
Since receiving her dental degree in Canada, Dr. Leila has worked in numerous clinics in Calgary, and she offers a wide range of dental services to Calgarians, including restorative and cosmetic dental procedures, Invisalign®, Botox®, implants, and more!
Dr. Leila likes working with all age groups and enjoys keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry.
In her spare time, she spends time with her family and friends, and she enjoys the local outdoor activities that living in Calgary offers her.

Our clinic is located in the heart of Bridgeland. Find us near the Starbucks on General Avenue, across from La Piazza. Street parking is available in front of our clinic and along nearby streets.
We’re proud to be a part of the Bridgeland-Riverside community, and to serve our community as well as people from the nearby neighbourhoods of Renfrew, Crescent Heights, East Village, and Inglewood, or wherever you’re visiting us from.
We offer convenient early morning, evening, and Saturday hours to help you fit your dental care into your life. Our clinic provides full-service dentistry for the whole family, including:

Insurance Information
We want to help make your experience as stress-free and simple as possible, from comprehensive and compassionate dental care to straightforward insurance and payment options.
We accept most insurance plans and direct bill whenever possible. We’re also a participating dentist in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Additionally, we offer flexible payment options for any amounts not covered by CDCP or extended dental benefits.
If you have any questions about your insurance coverage or the CDCP, give us a call. Our team is happy to assist and clarify as needed.
Emergency & After-Hours Dental Care
If you are experiencing a dental emergency, please call us at 403-262-1581 immediately, both during and after business hours.
We are here to help and welcome all patients who require emergency dentistry.
You may need an urgent visit for a dental emergency if you have:
- Knocked out tooth
- Chipped tooth
- Cracked or broken tooth
- Loosened tooth
- Infection or an abscessed tooth or gums
- Toothache
- Loose restoration, such as a dental crown, filling, or bridge
For emergency dental care, we strive to see our clients the same day. If you are experiencing a dental emergency, please call us. Based on your situation, we will provide you with instructions for the next steps to take care of your tooth (or teeth).

Routine dental cleanings and exams are a vital part of preventive care for your teeth and gums. Our team at Bridgeland Dental Care is dedicated to providing our patients with personalized, comprehensive, preventative dental care.
During a dental cleaning, your dentist or dental hygienist will remove bacteria, plaque, and tartar build-up from your teeth. Your dentist or hygienist may also recommend other preventive services to help protect and strengthen your teeth from decay.
We also use digital X-rays and the iTero digital scanner to get a clear view of your teeth, gums, and overall oral health. These tools help make your dental experience more efficient, comfortable, and interactive.
